The UPSTREAM initiative represents a vital engine for health equity in Northern California. As federal funding landscapes shift, we focus on addressing funding voids by charting actionable paths toward local and regional philanthropic sustainability. Our strategic goal is to construct practical bridges connecting regional funders to community-based organizations (CBOs) and academic institutions, unlocking long-term, systemic community health equity.
The Health Equity In Access (HEIA) Initiative focuses on "Precision Access" to bridge critical gaps in Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) education and adoption. We aim to dismantle the stigma surrounding preventative care by integrating HIV prevention directly into routine wellness check-ups, using a "Concierge Approach" mobile clinic that also handles holistic health needs like UTIs, bacterial vaginosis (BV), and birth control.
The Lighthouse Civic Intelligence Hub
The Civic Intelligence Hub is a first-of-its-kind regional platform developed to bridge the critical gap between nonprofit organizations and the government officials who dictate their policy and funding environments. This platform replaces the traditionally high "cost of knowledge" — which often involves expensive consultants — by equipping nonprofits with the strategic intelligence necessary to build high-impact relationships and align with public service priorities.

We champion business and education initiatives designed to empower female athletes and sports executives.
